Silent Moments

In silent moments,
I quietly reside,
Magical moments,
And tears inside.

I reap my share of ethical benifits,
With the urge of time on my side
If tears are a work of genetics,
Come love and emotion like a tide.

My scarlet eyes blaze through space,
In sorrow and stunned blankness,
I was born into the human race,
An order of my own frankness.

My life of old has grown,
In leaps and bounds I thought,
Thought and wisdom was not my own,
But from others gathered and caught.

Darkness you can't see,
When in light you stand.
But a moment in sorrow to be,
You learn and understand....

For sorrow my friend,
We both can see,
But in the end,
It's joy for you and me.

I felt like dirt spread on the floor,
With weakness and confusion in hand.
But what's the worth of seeing a door,
A door that's not on land?

When tears like blood flow easily,
And people are easier to ignore,
And knees on sand graze greasily,
And lions no longer roar....
